This Privacy Policy outlines how Channlworks ("we" or "us") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information of our SaaS users ("you") when you use our web-based alliance management platform and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, company name and other information that you provide to us when you sign up for an account or use our Services. We also collect information about your use of our Services, including your IP address, browser type and device information. We use cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.

In addition, if you connect your Google account to Channlworks, we may collect data from Google APIs, including:

  • Basic Google account information (e.g., email, profile).
  • Calendar data (list of calendars and events created, updated or deleted through Channlworks).
  • Gmail data (limited access to Gmail messages, including email metadata such as sender, recipient, subject, and timestamps, and message content when required to provide user-requested functionality such as viewing, sending, or syncing emails within Channlworks).

We do not access or collect Gmail data outside of what is necessary to perform the requested features, and we do not use Gmail data for advertising or analytics purposes.
We do not collect or access calendar events that were created outside of Channlworks.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide you with the Services and core functionality.
  • Synchronize Channlworks activities with your selected Google Calendar.
  • Allow you to create, update and delete events in your chosen Google Calendar.
  • Enable you to view, send, and manage emails through your connected Gmail account.
  • Display relevant Gmail information inside Channlworks to enhance productivity.
  • Display your available calendars inside Channlworks so you can select where events are stored.
  • Communicate with you about your account.
  • Improve and maintain our Services.

We do not use Gmail or Google Calendar data for advertising purposes or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • Channlworks only accesses and uses your Gmail and Google Calendar data to provide the functionality described above.
  • We do not use Gmail and Google Calendar data for any purpose other than providing or improving user-facing features.
  • We do not use Gmail or Google Calendar data for advertising, data selling, or any purpose unrelated to providing or improving user-facing features.

Disclosure, Sharing and Transfer of Google User Data

We do not share, transfer, sell, or disclose your Gmail or Google Calendar data to any third party, except:

  • Trusted service providers: Only to subprocessors (such as cloud hosting, secure database or email delivery providers) who help us operate Channlworks and are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for this purpose.
  • User-directed actions: When you explicitly request it (for example, when you click “Send” to send an email via your Gmail account).
  • Legal obligations: When required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.

Retention and Deletion of Google User Data

  • Retention: Gmail and Calendar data synchronized through Channlworks may be securely retained in your account to provide continued functionality. This data remains under your control and is retained only as long as necessary to support your account.
  • Deletion: You may revoke Channlworks' access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings. If you would like all Google user data stored by Channlworks to be permanently deleted, you can request this by contacting us at support@channlworks.com.

How we protect your Information

We use reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including data from Google APIs, from unauthorized access, disclosure or modification. However, no data transmission over the Internet or electronic storage system is guaranteed to be secure.

Your Choices

You can control the personal information we collect and use by updating your account settings or by contacting us. You can also choose to revoke Channlworks's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page.

We retain your personal information, including any Google data, for as long as necessary to provide you with the Services and as required by law.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website.
